Jennifer Fox, Region 1 Representative
City of La Grande Fire Department
Phone: (541) 963-3123
Bio: I began my career in the fire service in 2007. I had been working for the City of La Grande in the finance office and had the opportunity to increase my knowledge by transferring to the fire department, taking on new tasks. The move to the fire department was a choice I am really glad I made. I have learned a lot from those I work with directly in the station as well as those I have had the opportunity to network with over the years. My responsibilities include accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, ambulance billing prep, budgeting, providing support to our Fire Chief and staff as well as general office administration tasks.
I am very thankful for the support of my Fire Chief to allow me to join OFSOA in 2011. I only wonder why I did not join sooner. I look forward to the experience as a Region Representative. I am excited for the many years to come of training, more resources to pull from and fellowship our organization has to offer as well as the growth it will provide me personally and professionally.

Bio: I have been the office administrator at Siletz Fire for almost 2 years and enjoy working with the volunteers. My husband, Pete, and I also volunteer as much as we are able. I am taking classes online at OSU in the hopes of getting my bachelor’s in Natural Resource Management sometime in the next millennia. I have two boys (5 and 12) who keep me on my toes. We all are passionate about the environment and spend as much time outside as possible. Living in Newport, we have mild weather and are able to scuba dive, surf, back pack and run often. We bought our first house together a year ago and have been fixing it up. I love to read, garden, take pictures and travel.

Bio: I began my career with the Newberg Fire Department in February of 1999. I was hired as the EMS Secretary, working under the EMS Division Chief. The majority of my job duties center around documentation for ambulance billing and licensing, archiving and record keeping, FireMed and release of records. For 16 years I worked 24hrs/week so I could be a mommy and have a career life. In January of 2016 my hours increased to 30 hours per week with a new job classification and wage increase. I love my position at the fire department and am eager to come to work every day; this truly is the best group of people I have ever had the opportunity to grow and work with. OFSOA has been a strong factor in my professional and personal growth and I use many of the tools I've learned from workshops and conferences. Gaining my Level 3 accreditation was a huge step in my career development and I would encourage all OFSOA members to take advantage of this opportunity. I was asked to run for the Region 4 Rep opening and was honored to be nominated and accepted. I am eager about working to retain and encourage involvement by current members and excite prospective new members about the positive aspects of OFSOA membership.
Personally, I have been married to my best friend, Randy, for 27 years; we have one son and 2 black dogs. I love organic gardening, traveling for fun with a group of girlfriends, my lay ministry duties at St Peters' church, building wood crafted furniture and, my guilty pleasure, watching reality TV.
