Bio: I began working for the fire service in 1986. My responsibilities over the years have included accounts payable, accounts receivable, human resources including payroll and benefit administration, desktop publishing, budgeting, billing, reporting to State & Federal agencies, research, scheduling, event planning, and general administrative support.
I joined OFSOA in 1992 after a friend from a neighboring district told me about the organization. I was so thrilled with the training and what I was learning from networking with the other members that I wanted to be more involved to help keep the organization growing. I have served on the Board of Directors as a Region Representative, Treasurer, Conference Co-Chair, Vice President, and President and enjoyed every moment. The members of OFSOA are encouraging and inspiring and the training has been such a valuable resource that has helped me to grow personally and professionally. I know of no other organization that offers such pertinent and excellent training and encourages its members to succeed in all they do. OFSOA truly lives up to its motto of "Sharing a Standard of Excellence".
In my free time, I love to read, sew, walk, do crosswords and needlework, learn new software, and spend time with my husband, daughters, and their families.

Bio: I began my fire service career in the Supply Department here at TVF&R as a Supply Customer Service Clerk. I was responsible for ordering a variety of items for the District, working with crews to order items for the stations, and acted as an instructor of sorts for our internal ordering process. I came from the private sector as a manager in retail, which makes me that much more appreciative to be involved in the fire service!
I was promoted to an Executive Assistant in 2015, supporting the Fire Chief and the Board of Directors, and a variety of projects. I love being involved in the fire service, and couldn’t ask for a more rewarding job. I heard about the OFSOA through my counterpart & good friend, Executive Assistant, Olivia Houck, and knew immediately I wanted to join and be involved! I am a new member, and I am amazed at the level and amount of resources offered. I couldn’t be more excited to serve as the new
Communications/Newsletter Chair! I’m hoping I can put some of my photojournalism classes to work.
In my time away from the District, my husband and I enjoy traveling in our RV, camping, fishing, hunting, shooting trap, and I love to sew, scrapbook and be creative!
